Things We See Every Week #3: "The Lift Kit Wasn't the Problem."
A customer came in after installing a brand-new lift kit.
His first words were:
"Ever since I lifted it, it doesn't drive like it used to."
Naturally, he thought the lift kit was the problem.
After taking a look, the lift kit was installed correctly.
The real issue?
The factory tires were still inflated to the pressure used before the suspension and tire changes.
After adjusting the tire pressure and performing a proper alignment, the truck drove completely differently.
It's a good reminder that every modification affects the vehicle as a system.
When you change one thing, you often need to revisit:
• Alignment
• Tire pressure
• Suspension settings
• Steering geometry
Sometimes the solution isn't replacing another part.
It's making sure everything is working together the way it should.
That's what turns a truck that simply looks good into one that actually drives good.
